How do I use a Pelvic Floor Wand?

Step 1 - Wash the wand with warm water and soap and designate a place in your home that is safe, quiet and comfortable, such as your bed.

Step 2- Decide which end to use. The curved end with the pointed tip is helpful for addressing trigger points closer to the entrance of the vagina or rectum. The longer, rounded end is often helpful for reaching deep tender points in the rectum or vagina.

Step 3- Use a generous amount of water-based lubricant on the first 1 to 2 inches of the desired treatment end of the wand, as well as the opening of the vagina. The use of a water-based lubricant is important to preserve the medical grade silicone of the wand.

Step 4- Start by lying on your back with your knees bent and feet planted. Some people may prefer to lie on their side instead. If that’s the case, be sure to bend your knees and support your top leg with a folded pillow between your knees.

Step 5- Begin your session by breathing in and allowing your belly to expand, followed by exhaling, allowing your belly to slowly fall. The act of slowly exhaling helps to naturally relax the pelvic floor muscles. Repeat the deep breathing pattern, and continue to do so steadily and deliberately. Gently bring the wand to the opening of the vagina and carefully insert it on an exhale.

Step 6- Gently sweep the end of the wand until you encounter a tender point. When you find tender point, gently compress the end of the wand into the tender point with the same firmness you would use to check a tomato for ripeness. For example, don’t press so hard you squish your tomato.

Step 7- Maintain gentle pressure on the tender point and slowly move your bent knee left and right until you find a position that stops the pain in the pelvic floor muscle. When you find this position, remain there for 1 to 2 minutes to allow the tender point to fully release.

Continue to breathe deeply.Repeat this process 1 or 2 times per day as needed.

How do I know if I need the Vibrating Wand, Temperature or Regular Wand?

All wands are wands are the same size, shape, and contour. They were designed to address trigger points associated with pelvic pain. The vibrating wand has ten different vibration variations to allow for maximum comfort while addressing painful trigger points and pelvic scar tissue. Vibration helps to improve circulation and relax the pelvic floor muscles for maximum healing and pain relief.

The vibrating wand is perfect for women who have had surgery, cancer, chronic pain, injury, fracture, or a history of vaginismus.

Which Lubricant Should I Use With the Wands?

Any time you use a personal lubricant with the wand or for intercourse, it’s best to use a water-based personal lubricant as it’s the safest. You can use any brand of lubricant with Intimate Rose wands, just make sure it says water-based and not silicone-based, as the silicone based lubricants can damage the silicone on your wand.

How Do I Clean the Wand?

Intimate Rose Pelvic Wands are easy to clean with basic gentle soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals.

A great tool to help with overactive pelvic floor

Way easier and more effective for releasing tension in my pelvic floor than using my fingers or booking in with a pelvic floor physiotherapist. Hoping this is helps reduce or eliminate pain during intercourse after consistent use.

Good and Close to Perfect

Really like the Vibrating Pelvic Wand. The vibrations are most felt from the shorter end, which targets certain issues, but no so much on the longer narrow end. If there was an improvement to be made, it would be more vibration on the longer end.

Seems ok

Can’t quite get pressure or relief from it yet. So not sure if it will. Quality of product seems very good.

Fantastic for pelvic healing

I was recommended to purchase this item from my pelvic floor therapist. This item was life changing for my pelvic floor healing and basically allowed me to discontinue seeing my therapist and continue the therapy at home. The company who makes this product has YouTube videos you can follow that are helpful too to learn how to use the product.

Urology Health got this item to me promptly, within a day or two of ordering. They also offered a competitive price for the wand. I would highly recommend purchasing from Urology Health. Although this was a pretty unique purchase for me, I'll be looking to see if I ever need to purchase items from this store directly in the future.

Great product!

I was very Leary about purchasing this product- a lot of reviews on Amazon were saying it wouldn’t charge or it did not stay charged. I have not had this issue at all.
Several months ago I was told I could not have a Pessary due to tight pelvic floor muscles. This product has changed that.
I highly recommend this product to anyone who has pelvic floor dysfunction.

Great product.
